Job Description:
Our client is hiring for a permanent Senior Vice President of
Business Development job in the San Jose, CA area. You will serve
in a management and business development role that is responsible
for leading a Carrier Ethernet department, and assessing new
business opportunities with a focus on new product offerings for a
diverse array of Telecommunication and Multi Service Operators
(MSOs) customers. Your position is an integral part of the
department and will provide leadership and business analysis for
existing and new Carrier Ethernet products for North American
customers. You will be working for a global company that offers a

The Senior Vice President of Business Development Job
Responsibilities:
-Business development of all Carrier Ethernet products
-Build Carrier Ethernet sales, engineering, marketing and support
team within the department
-Create market and business strategy, prioritizing potential
customers, and acquisition of new clients
-Build new and strengthen reseller and distributor relationship
-Training of Sales, Engineering, Marketing and Manufacturer
Representatives on the product solutions as applicable
-Provide pricing and a pricing strategy for Sales as applicable and
per established norms
-Negotiate strategic contracts with suppliers and
subcontractors
-Establish and maintain strategic customer relationships and
alliances
-Provide development activities, reports and other relevant
data
-Provide 5-year forecast of Carrier Ethernet Products
-Create proposals, business cases, and responses to customer
requirements
-Plan exhibition strategy with marketing and attend industry
conventions and trade shows as required
-Work with marketing regarding the needs for marketing
communication materials and programs
Qualifications:
-Possess in-depth knowledge of wired telecommunication and MSOs
industries
-Solid experience selling new products and building new
relationships with resellers and distributors
-Proven success leading and managing a sales/engineering team
-Excellent customer and partner relation skills
-Self-motivated and self-initiated problem solver
-Ability to work within an ambiguous environment and simultaneously
provide recommendations and make decisions
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills
-Understanding of Carrier Ethernet solutions.
-Bachelor?s degree in Business or Engineering
-Willingness to travel
