  Job Summary
  Reporting to the Director of Patient Care Services in the Women and Children's (WCC), the Assistant Director of Labor and Delivery and Postpartum is a professional registered nurse who is responsible for assisting the director in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating nursing care given by a designated healthcare team. The Assistant Director has twenty-four hour responsibility for the unit's standard, staff, leadership, decision-making, fiscal guidelines, and department relationship. The Assistant Director fosters a supportive, professional environment of physicians, staff, and patients.
