Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night; 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Travel experience required License: California License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience with ARDS, sepsis, COPD, CVA/bleed, ROSC, cardiogenic shock, DKA - Familiarity with procedures like A-line, CVP, ventriculostomy placement and management - Flu and COVID vaccines required; medical or religious exceptions are accepted - Charting experience with Cerner - Navy blue scrubs preferred Job Description: - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2 as typical - Float within scope as needed, with support in critical care areas - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans - Utilize critical thinking and advanced assessment skills in a fast-paced environment - Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility policies and procedures - Engage in continuous education to stay updated with best practices in ICU nursing
