Volt is immediately hiring a Quality Metrology Tech with a well-known industry leader in Milipitas, CA.

In this role you will be responsible for the development of test methods and procedures needed to determine the dimensional features of products, validation and production inspections of all products produced from manufacturing and assembly processes, proper use and maintenance of measurement tools and equipment.

This is a first shift position.

As a Quality Metrology Tech you will:
Develop and use measurement methods and equipment to define the dimension features of products conform to the design features.
Program and use CMM, OGP, vision systems, and form tracking systems.
Perform inspection and testing of molded components and assemblies for conformance to design and configuration requirements.
Utilize inspection measurement tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, thread gauges, plug gauges, comparators etc.)
Troubleshooting OGP and CMM programs and system malfunctions.
Optimize inspection methods to expedite inspections and manage equipment capacity.
Compile and explore measurement data and statistics to assess measurement methods and process capability.
Perform Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR) studies to evaluate measurement
Perform tests and records data on spreadsheets.
Identify and Report Non-conformances of product or processes.
Provide help for Corrective Action investigation.

This is a temp to direct opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in the use of hand tools, including calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, etc.is required
PC-DMIS experience is required
CMM experience is required
OMM experience (preferred)
2-4 years related experience.
Vision and/or Coordinate Measurement Machine certificate (Measure X, Measure Mind, Calypso), or relevant experience.
ASQ certification as CQT, or CQI, (preferred)
Strong knowledge of computer programs.

Pay Rate: $30.00 - 40.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
