responsible for leading a team of Planner/Buyers that will plan and
procure repair/service material and subassemblies across multiple
categories from a global supply base to support the Americas
service and repair facilities. Working closely with the Inventory
Manager and Planning department, convert the demand plan into
daily/weekly material requirements to ensure availability of the
right quantity of components to the production lines and sales
orders when needed as well as communicating the plan to the supply
base. This role will support the Planner/Buyers output which
optimizes the flow of materials, while considering the repair
production lines/warehouse capacity and inventory targets to
eliminate potential disruptions in the repair lines and repair part
warehouse(s), minimize both storage costs and excess/obsolete
inventory.Job Duties
- Oversee inventory purchasing activities; daily creation of
purchase requisitions & purchase orders to support Repair demand.
Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, ensuring
timely delivery, while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Work with Olympus suppliers exchanging data to support repair
changes in volumes and mix. Ensuring they can provide support as
needed.
- Identify, develop, and implement processes & procedures to
support department to reach goals and objectives. Develop and
implement improvements to existing operational processes and
standards.
- Conduct regular analysis of inventory data to identify trends,
potential shortages, and excess stock.
- Coordinate workflow to ensure an efficient and productive
operation that meets the requirements of the customer. Implement
strategies to reduce overall costs while maintaining or improving
quality.
- Working with Inventory Manager and Planning department to
implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize
stock levels and ensure timely availability of parts.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand
forecasts based on historical trends and sales volumes from
business groups.
- Lead and contribute to cost-saving initiatives related to
inventory and procurement processes.
- Maintain product information database in Oracle material
master. Updating all coding based on product information provided
by Product Managers to link part inventory to model family.
- Coordinate transition of discontinued product lines while
planning for new product lines. Depleting of old stock through
analysis of Excess & Obsolete reports for items with no activity.
Work with Product Managers & Marketing Depts. for sales & service
transition strategy.
- Execute purchase orders to return claims for non-conforming
inventory for reimbursement.
- Lead or participate in projects to reach short-term goals to
improve the processes of the overall repair operations.
- Coordinate the standardization and enhancement of operational
goals.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports to demonstrate state of the
repair business outlining repairs by labor code product types or
product models. The state of the inventory at month end; on hand
total purchasing by Supplier; by product type etc.

QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related years of
experience.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of leading and mentoring employees is
required.Preferred:
- Experience with ERP (Oracle and Oracle Cloud & Advanced
Planning Systems is desirable).
- Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain
Certification (APICS/ IBF) desirable.
- Ability to coach and lead a team of Planner/Buyers in the
execution of departmental and company goals.
- Ability to build strong collaborative teams and relationships,
leading cross-functional/virtual teams where required.
- Ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and
compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral
forms.
- The ability to work with all levels within the organization and
in a matrix environment.
- Ability to drive & apply continuous process improvement tools
and improvements.
- Working knowledge of financial processes.
- Strong organization skills and an aptitude for planning with
exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex situations into simple working
solutions.
- Proficient user of MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.We offer

pay range for this full-time position working at this location is
$90,749.00-$122,511.00/year, plus potential for annual bonus
(subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus
